Authority websites will also typically have a social media presence, perhaps a user forum, and they cover the given niche in extensive detail. As the name suggests, when building an authority website, you aim to become one of, if not the main, authority or go-to resource within that niche.
Niche websites typically get the majority of their traffic from Google via YOU’RE. Your authority website will usually have a far broader range of traffic sources and will often receive visitors from another website that refers people to the information on your site.
